A magnificent cabinet erythrite from Bou Azzer — the world's finest locality for the species — displaying multiple overlapping rosettes of deep wine-red to crimson-magenta acicular crystals with a silky submetallic luster that ignites in direct light. A small associated secondary mineral nestled in the crystals adds paragenetic interest. Color depth and crystal size place this firmly at the top end of what Bou Azzer produces.
